Sirio comes from grapes from 85% Sangiovese and 15% Merlot vines, grown on mixed sandy soil with south-east exposure in the municipality of Barchi, at 300 m a.s.l. The grapes are harvested manually in mid-September, the vinification takes place for a period of 5 days of maceration at a controlled temperature (25°C) in stainless steel tanks. Aging for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
In the glass it shows off a beautiful intense ruby red color with violet reflections. Fruity aromas arrive on the nose with aromas of wisteria and notes of green pepper and ivy. In the mouth it reveals itself with a lively freshness and a full fruit. A clear structure, with a fruity and herbaceous finish.
A great dry red wine that goes best with first courses. A wine that best enhances the aromas when young, but can also be kept for up to 5 years.
