The Alghero Cabernet Riserva DOC Marchese di Villamarina is a true pearl of the Sella & Mosca winery, located in the heart of Sardinia. This extraordinary wine stands out for its elegant complexity and full-bodied balance that enchants from the first sip.
Produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, this pomace spends 18 months in French oak barriques, followed by further refinement in the bottle before being put on the market. The result is a wine of great structure and intensity, with a deep ruby color that anticipates the richness of the olfactory and gustatory sensations.
On the nose, the Alghero Cabernet Riserva offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe berries, nuances of vanilla and sweet spices deriving from the oak wood. The touch of black pepper and the light trace of tobacco further enrich the aromatic profile.
In the mouth, the wine is vigorous and balanced, with well-structured tannins that promise a long life. The flavors of ripe fruit, dark chocolate and a light balsamic note combine to offer a complex and persistent tasting experience.
Alghero Cabernet Riserva DOC is perfect to serve with red meat dishes, especially roasts and braised meats. It is also an excellent companion for mature cheeses and intense dishes that require a wine with a strong personality.
We recommend serving it at a temperature of 18-20°C to fully appreciate all its qualities. With its aging potential, this wine also lends itself to being stored in the cellar for several years, evolving and maturing over time.
