Discover the story, territory and wines of Silvano Bolmida.
Family-run winery based in the Bussia cru of Monforte d'Alba (Piedmont), known for Barolo and for wines made from Nebbiolo and Barbera. It also produces a Sauvignon Blanc that is uncommon in the Langhe.
The winery was founded by a family of winegrowers in Bussia, Monforte d'Alba. The business began as an artisanal operation by converting a tractor garage and gradually developed its own vineyards in the Bussia area and Le Coste di Monforte, maintaining a family-run approach and later involving the children in management.
Production philosophy
Artisanal approach and meticulous vineyard care: hand-harvesting, attention to individual parcels and sustainable farming practices. In the cellar, extended macerations and aging are favored to highlight the expression of the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bussia locality within the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the Langhe. The labels reflect local micro-crus such as Bussia and Le Coste di Monforte.
Awards and recognitions
The wines have received scores and recognition in publications and from importers: examples include positive reviews from Vinous and Jeb Dunnuck for the Barolo Bussia, and scores around 91 for some vintages of the Barbera "Conca del Grillo".
