Winery history Ventolaio

Ventolaio is a family-run estate led by the Fanti family: Luigi and Maria Assunta, supported by their sons Baldassarre and Manuele. The estate is located in the locality of the same name along the road from Montalcino to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, and has built its activity around the cultivation of Sangiovese and the traditional winemaking typical of the area.

Production philosophy

The estate favors traditional methods and the expression of terroir and vintages: it produces wines consistent with its declared organic practices and ages the Brunello in large oak casks, aiming to achieve wines that are genuine and faithful to the character of the vineyard.

Terroir and vineyards

Località Ventolaio, Montalcino — south‑east of the municipality, on the road to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The surrounding vineyards encircle the estate at approximately 400 metres above sea level, on medium‑textured clayey loam soils with a stony component, primarily south/south‑east facing.
