Distillation and production

Production method

Small-batch production with double distillation (bidistillation) in copper pot stills. Heads/heart/tails are separated and only the heart is used for blends. Each batch is analyzed chemically and sensorially, followed by controlled blending and cold filtration when applied.

Ageing

Aging in tonéis and wooden barrels in the farm's high-altitude cellar; rest periods typically range from 1 to 3 years depending on the wood used; followed by sensory blending.

Producer history Fazenda Soledade

Fazenda Soledade Ltda. was established in 1977 and its first product was the cachaça Nêga Fulô. Over time ownership has remained with the Bastos Ribeiro family and production has grown into export markets and commercial partnerships.

Production philosophy

Combines artisanal practices with technological control: sensory selection of batches, careful attention to mountain spring water quality and respect for the surrounding environment (Atlantic Forest areas and spring management). The stated objective is to preserve the identity of the sugarcane through slow, controlled processes.

Territory

Farm located in the highlands of Nova Friburgo, in the state of Rio de Janeiro (mountain region around the Atlantic Forest). The cellar/ageing facility is at high altitude (over 900 m), conditions that influence the ageing of the spirit.
