Winery history
The estate is named after Prince Alberico Boncompagni Ludovisi, a central figure in the area's revival who adopted organic practices and introduced varieties that were then little known. The property was revitalized by his granddaughters, who restored the historic vineyard and maintain the inherited techniques, highlighting the agricultural memory and identity of the place.
Production philosophy
Production oriented toward quality and respect for the soil: organic wines, attention to the historic vineyard, use of traditional methods combined with technical consultancy to enhance the volcanic terroir and the typicity of the planted varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located in the Appia Antica and Agro Romano areas, on soils characterized by volcanic ash. The site is influenced by the Ponentino wind and the proximity to Rome, which contribute to the wines' aromatic profile and minerality.
