The Liquore Strega, the famous distillate produced by the historic Distilleria Alberti, is a true icon of Italian liqueur tradition. Hailing from the city of Benevento, this liqueur has been produced continuously since 1860 according to a recipe that remains secretly guarded to this day.
The Liquore Strega owes its name to the legendary story of the witches of Benevento, who, according to legend, gathered at the site where the factory now stands to celebrate their sabbats. The drink is the result of a skillful blend of over 70 herbs and spices from around the world, including Ceylon cinnamon, European juniper, and aromatic mint. These natural ingredients are macerated and then distilled to extract pure, aromatic essences.
Visually, the liqueur has a distinctive, inviting golden-yellow color. On the nose, Liquore Strega Alberti offers a complex and persistent bouquet, with herbal notes well balanced by hints of mint and sweet spices. On the palate, it is smooth and harmonious, with a pleasant balance of sweetness and aromatic intensity that makes it versatile and appreciated by a wide audience.
With an alcohol content of 40%, Liquore Strega is perfect both neat, slightly chilled, and as a sophisticated ingredient in creative cocktails. Also excellent as a digestif after dinner, its unique and recognizable flavor invites you to carve out moments of pure pleasure. Add a touch of magic to your evenings with Liquore Strega!
