This Armagnac Héritage gracefully expresses the traits of a long evolution: the indicated age range gives a mature and complex profile, with aromas of dried fruit, plum, honey and vanilla that intertwine with darker notes of sweet tobacco and toasted hazelnut. The influence of the wood is present but well integrated, adding touches of sweet spice and a soft tannic texture that supports the structure without weighing it down. The sip is enveloping, warm but balanced, with roundness at the center and a fresh acidic spine that keeps the finish lifted; the persistence is long and clean, ideal for those seeking a spirit of character without excessive ostentation.

Bottled by Dartigalongue and presented in a gift box, it is suited both to contemplative after-dinner drinking and to moments of sharing with intense dishes: dark chocolate, aged cheeses or foie gras-based preparations enhance its richness. Serve in a tulip glass at a slightly cool room temperature, in small sips to appreciate its finesse and aromatic progression.

Distillation

Continuous distillation in a column still at low strength; for some ranges the use of traditional artisanal Armagnac pot stills is mentioned.

Ageing

Ageing in Gascon oak barrels (about 400 L); after 40–50 years the best vintages may be transferred to glass demijohns to preserve their character; numbered single cask and limited editions exist.
