The Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC "Vigna del Cuculo" by Cavallotto represents a high quality expression of the Barbera vine, the result of the experience and tradition of the Cavallotto family, who cultivates the vine and produces wine in the Langhe, the heart of wine-making Piedmont , for generations. This wine comes from the specific "del Cuculo" vineyard, located in the renowned area of Castiglione Falletto, and is a tribute to the richness and complexity that the Barbera grape can express in such a privileged terroir.

The wine has an intense and deep ruby red color, with violet reflections that highlight its youth and vitality. On the nose, "Vigna del Cuculo" offers a rich and complex bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruit such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and a light trace of wood, the result of careful aging in oak barrels which complements without overpowering the expressiveness of the fruit.

In the mouth, Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Vigna del Cuculo" reveals itself with a solid and full structure, supported by a lively acidity which is a distinctive characteristic of Barbera, giving freshness and drinkability. The tannins are soft and velvety, well integrated into the fabric of the wine, which closes with a long and persistent finish, where the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose return.

This wine is ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, from red meat to game, from dishes based on mushrooms and truffles to mature cheeses. Its complexity and depth also make it an excellent companion for moments of oenological meditation.
