The Barolo DOCG "Albe" from Vajra in magnum format, presented in a wooden case, delivers a measured yet intense expression. On the nose it opens to small red fruit and floral notes, with hints of faded rose and delicate spice; background nuances of earth and balsamic touches add complexity without excess. The magnum format enhances aromatic development while keeping a balance between freshness and olfactory evolution.

On the palate it shows solid structure with present but well-integrated tannins and an acidity that supports the drinking experience, resulting in harmony and good backbone. The finish is persistent and invites further sips; if stored properly it can evolve positively over time. It pairs well with red meats, braised dishes, game and aged cheeses, and holds up with more robust preparations. To fully appreciate its profile, consider opening a few hours in advance or a brief decantation.
