Barolo DOCG Albe di Vajra is a red wine that interprets the Barolo designation with restraint. In the glass it shows an intense, clear colour; on the nose it offers fine profiles of ripe red and dark fruits, light floral notes of rose and violet and spicy and tertiary nuances that emerge with aeration. On the palate the wine displays a well-defined but harmonized tannic framework, lively acidity and a sustained structure that leads to saline and mineral sensations; the finish is long without being intrusive and invites further sips.

It pairs well with dishes of good substance and traditional preparations: red meats, braised dishes, feathered game in recipes that are not overly spiced, as well as aged cheeses and mushroom-based dishes. A moderate serving temperature is recommended and, for those who wish, a short decanting to promote aromatic expression; as with any wine of character, it is advisable to assess its development over time according to personal preferences.
