Barolo DOCG Bricco delle Viole by Vajra is a red wine that bears the vineyard name on its label and the stated denomination. It shows a recognizable structure, capable of standing up to characterful dishes; it is intended for occasions when one wants a wine to accompany meats, savory ragùs and aged cheeses. On tasting the tannic framework is present but integrated with the acidity, offering balance and a flavour progression that invites slow sipping.

On the nose and palate there are suggestions of ripe red fruit, flowers and light spice, with slightly earthy returns and a persistence that carries through the finish. To appreciate its expressiveness, serve it at a moderate temperature and, if desired, briefly decant before serving. It is a bottle suited to sharing at the table and that benefits from attentive service to highlight its nuances.
