The Barolo DOCG Cannubi from Marchesi di Barolo shows a bright garnet color of medium depth. On the nose it opens with a balanced aromatic profile: red fruit, hints of cherry and plum, discreet floral notes and fine spices that blend with light earthy tones and underbrush nuances. Its development in the glass reveals complexity without being overwhelming; the aromas evolve slowly, making way for darker returns and subtle mineral nuances.

On the palate it confirms a well-defined structure, tannins that are present but not aggressive, and acidity that maintains freshness and drive. The persistence is good, with a slightly savory finish and fruity, slightly almond-tinged aftertastes. It pairs with structured meat dishes, braises and roasts, cured meats and aged cheeses; it is advisable to open the bottle in advance or decant it briefly before serving at around 16–18 °C. Marchesi di Barolo signs this Cannubi with balance and character, suitable for relatively early consumption as well as short-term cellaring.

Winery history
The historic cellars date to the era of Marchesa Giulia di Barolo; modern Barolo production was shaped in the first half of the 19th century. In 1929 Pietro Abbona took over the cellars and the estate received international awards during the 20th century. Production philosophy
Focus on terroir and respect for historic crus: hand harvest with grape selection in the vineyard; selective destemming and targeted maceration (15–18 days); fermentation at controlled temperatures (about 24–26 °C). Aging includes a period in vitrified concrete tanks and roughly two years in wood (first year in French barriques with a balanced percentage of new wood, second year in large Slavonian oak barrels), followed by bottle rest.
