Giacomo Grimaldi's Barolo DOCG is a wine that deeply embodies the characteristics of Nebbiolo, the prestigious Piedmont grape variety, grown in the best areas of the Barolo denomination. This winery, which carries on the family tradition with dedication and passion, is committed to the production of wines that reflect the typicality and uniqueness of the Langhe terroir, with particular attention to the quality and expression of the grape variety.

Giacomo Grimaldi's Barolo has a typical garnet red color, which tends to acquire orange shades with aging. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and inviting bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched by hints of withered flowers, spices, tobacco and a light trace of leather, which are distinctive of the best examples of Barolo.

In the mouth, this Barolo reveals a solid and elegant structure, with robust but velvety tannins and a well-balanced acidity that contributes to a long tasting persistence. The sip is enveloping and rich, with a persistent finish that brings back the olfactory notes and introduces mineral and earthy nuances, typical of the Nebbiolo variety grown in the most suitable areas.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles and mature cheeses, Giacomo Grimaldi's Barolo is also an excellent meditation wine, which benefits from prolonged aging in the cellar, during which can develop further complexity and aromatic nuances.
