The Barolo DOCG in magnum format from Fratelli Borgogno expresses the serious, aristocratic character of the appellation: aromas that shift from ripe red fruit to more subtle notes of rose petal and graphite, with a light sweet spice and earthy hints that enrich its depth. On the palate it shows structure and tension, tannins that are present yet refined, a lively acidity that supports the body, and an elegant persistence that invites evolution over time; overall it is a wine that combines substance and finesse without blending into the crowd, displaying balance rather than ostentation. The magnum format accentuates the softness on the palate and the wine’s aging potential, making it ideal to open on occasions where the wine accompanies important dishes or long conversations.

Served after decanting, it pairs with braised dishes, stewed game, mushroom-based plates and aged cheeses; it prefers hearty tables and slow-cooked recipes, where its structure can fully express itself.
