The Bianco IGT Mitterberg Bronner from Elena Walch shows a bright, straw-coloured appearance with subtle highlights. On the nose it offers an aromatic profile of white-fleshed fruit, fresh flowers and a faint herbal note; the aromas remain complex yet restrained, with mineral nuances also coming through. On the palate it is lean, with lively acidity that supports the fruit and gives the sip energy; the finish is clean and of fair persistence, suggesting consumption relatively young but not necessarily immediately.

A wine for those seeking freshness and immediacy without foregoing a measure of elegance, it pairs well with light starters, mildly seasoned fish dishes, grilled vegetables and fresh cheeses. Serve cool, in not-too-large glasses, to appreciate its olfactory delicacy and gustatory texture; moderately cool service conditions enhance the sense of clarity and drinkability. Ideal for informal yet considered occasions, where simplicity in drinking is highlighted by pleasant aromatic precision.

Winery history
Trained as an architect, Elena Walch raised the international profile of her family estate by modernising vineyard and cellar practices and emphasising single-vineyard expression. In recent years leadership has been progressively assumed by her daughters Julia and Karoline (fifth generation).
Production philosophy
Strongly terroir-driven approach: emphasis on single 'Vigna' sites, manual vineyard work, sustainability-oriented practices and careful cellar ageing (e.g. French barriques and extended bottle ageing).
Terroir and vineyards
Estate and vineyards located in Alto Adige/Südtirol (Termeno/Tramin, Caldaro). Calcareous and varied soils; climate combining summer warmth with cool Dolomite winds. The producer cites Vigna Castel Ringberg as a single vineyard of about 20 hectares; Vigna Kastelaz is a steep terraced site above Tramin.
