This Bricco Boschis 2021 from the Cavallotto winery opens with a clear profile: compact red fruits, rose petal and woodland hints sit alongside sweet spices and a light touch of tobacco. On the palate it is elegant and taut, with lively acidity that supports the wine's drinkability and dense but polished tannins; there is also a pleasant sapidity that accompanies the wine's body. Overall it offers finesse and tension, coming across as balanced and persistent without losing compactness.

Better after a short decanting, it expresses itself well in a large glass and lends itself to substantial pairings: braised dishes, roast beef, game and aged cheeses pair well with this Barolo. Serve around 16-18 °C. It has the structure to be enjoyed now but also to evolve in bottle over time, revealing more earthy and complex nuances as it ages; recommended for those seeking a Barolo of character and refined elegance.

Winery history
The Cavallotto family has cultivated the Bricco Boschis hill since 1928. After World War II the winery began vinifying its own grapes, a practice firmly established in 1946, and the first Barolo under the Cavallotto label dates back to 1948. Today the estate is run by the next generation, which has preserved unified vineyard management and a focus on the local terroir.
Production philosophy
The estate emphasizes the character of its territory by making wine exclusively from grapes grown in its own vineyards, practicing organic viticulture, and following a winemaking approach focused on minimal intervention.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Langhe, and is known for the cru Bricco Boschis. The vineyards are concentrated on a single hillside and have exposures and altitudes typical of the lower Langa around Alba, favorable to the cultivation of Nebbiolo da Barolo.
