The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG in Jeroboam format, presented in a wooden case by Canalicchio di Sopra, is a work of oenological art that embodies the excellence and mastery of Tuscan viticulture and winemaking. Canalicchio di Sopra, one of Montalcino's most renowned and esteemed wineries, is known for its wines that combine elegance, power and longevity, and this Brunello in special Jeroboam format (3 litres) is a celebration of Sangiovese in one of its expressions more noble and fascinating.

Presentation in Jeroboam is not only a symbol of celebration and generosity, but also contributes to the maturation of the wine, offering a greater surface area for aromatic evolution and extended aging capacity. The wooden case adds an extra touch of class and protection, making it a perfect gift for wine enthusiasts or a prestigious addition to any cellar.

This Brunello di Montalcino is produced following the rigorous regulations of the DOCG, which require a minimum aging of five years, of which at least two in wooden barrels. Canalicchio di Sopra takes advantage of the unique position of its vineyards and the richness of Montalcino's terroir to create a wine of extraordinary complexity and depth, maintaining the elegance and balance that are the hallmark of the winery.

The color of Canalicchio di Sopra's Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a deep ruby red, which tends towards garnet with aging. The nose opens with a wide range of aromas, which include ripe red fruits, balsamic notes, spices, leather and a light trace of tobacco and chocolate, the result of long maturation. These aromas develop and enrich over time, offering a complexity that invites you to explore every facet of the wine.

On the palate, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG expresses itself with a controlled power, offering a perfect balance between tannic structure, acidity and body. The richness of the fruit is enveloped in a velvety texture that leads to a long and persistent finish, marked by flavors that reflect the olfactory bouquet.

Ideal for special occasions, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG in Jeroboam format from Canalicchio di Sopra pairs beautifully with intense and tasty dishes, such as roasted red meats, game and mature cheeses. This wine not only offers an unforgettable tasting experience upon opening but also promises aging potential that will allow its evolution to be appreciated in the coming years.

Winery history
Founded in 1962 by Primo Pacenti, Canalicchio di Sopra has grown as a family-run estate committed to improving the quality of Montalcino wines. The winery's first bottle of Brunello dates to 1966, and in 1967 the estate was among the founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino. Today it is managed by successive generations who combine tradition and innovation.
Production philosophy
