Piombaia’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a red wine associated with a recognised designation and a style that invites attentive tasting. Its name evokes Montalcino, while the wine’s identity rests on the character of Brunello. The vintage and the features of this particular bottle are not specified here. In general, this type of wine is appreciated for its structured presence and a profile that may develop in the glass. It is best served without rushing, allowing time for it to express itself.

At the table, it can accompany flavourful dishes such as red meats and mature cheeses, or be enjoyed on its own with attention to the tasting. To make the most of it, choose a large glass and serve at a temperature suited to structured red wines. The specific impressions, intensity and balance depend on the bottle and its vintage, which is not provided in the available information. A good choice for anyone interested in discovering a well-known red-wine style and exploring its characteristics directly in the glass.

Winery history
Piombaia’s history began with the union of the Rossi family, from Montalcino, and the Cantini family, from Pisa. The family business developed in the first half of the 20th century; today, the winery is run by the fifth generation of the Rossi-Cantini family.
Production philosophy
Since 2008, the family has applied the principles of organic and biodynamic farming, with a focus on natural rhythms and biodiversity. In the cellar, it follows a low-intervention approach, using spontaneous fermentations and keeping interventions to a minimum.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are in the Montalcino area of Tuscany. The winery reports approximately 12 hectares of vineyards at elevations of 400 to 600 metres above sea level.
