Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Sorgente by Salicutti is a red wine associated with a well-known appellation. The title does not specify the vintage or other production details, so this description focuses on the information available and avoids attributing unverified characteristics to the wine. The appellation points to Montalcino and offers a clear reference for anyone seeking a Tuscan red to serve with a meal or share on a convivial occasion. The name Sorgente completes the wine’s identity, while Salicutti identifies its producer.

It can accompany flavourful dishes such as roasted or braised meats, game and aged cheeses. These are general pairing suggestions, to be adapted to the recipe and personal preferences. The wine may suit a meal with several courses, where it can be given time and attention. To enjoy it, consider opening the bottle in advance and serving it at a moderate temperature, while checking the guidance on the label. A choice for those who value a recognised appellation, without relying on tasting notes or other information that is not available.

Winery history
Francesco Leanza planted the first vines in 1994, and the estate produced its first Rosso di Montalcino in 1996. The estate is now run by Felix and Sabine Eichbauer, who continued organic farming and began the transition to biodynamic viticulture.
Production philosophy
The winery’s philosophy centers on respect for nature and on highlighting the differences between its vineyards, allowing Sangiovese to express each site. The estate farms biodynamically, continuing its organic tradition.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate lies in the southeastern part of Montalcino and covers about 11 hectares, including 4.5 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are at 420–500 metres above sea level. The Sorgente cru covers about 1.5 hectares at 450 metres, on clayey-sandy soils.
