Discover the story and wines of Tenuta di Sesta.

Montalcino winery producing Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and other wines of the area.
Region: Tuscany
Country: Italy
Winery history
The estate passed to the Ciacci family in 1850. In 1966, Giuseppe Ciacci produced the estate’s first bottles of Brunello. Since 1995, the winery has been managed by Giovanni Ciacci, joined by his children Andrea and Francesca.
Production philosophy
The family seeks to express Montalcino through vineyard management that also responds to climatic changes and traditional ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels, preserving the character of Sangiovese.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the Montalcino area of the Province of Siena. It covers about 200 hectares, including around 30 hectares of vineyards.
