Elegant and immediate, this Champagne from Egly-Ouriet comes from the Vrigny Premier Cru vineyards and shows a fine perlage and a dry style, consistent with its Extra Brut designation. On the nose it opens with ripe citrus, lemon zest and a subtle white-fleshed fruit, followed by toasted notes, brioche and a hint of hazelnut that add complexity without weighing it down. The profile remains vertical, with a well-calibrated acidity that supports the sip. The balance between elegance and character makes it immediate yet nuanced, suited to those seeking precision without coldness.

On the palate it is fresh and savory, the bubbles are creamy and the texture displays a lovely purity; the finish stays long, with a mineral return and pleasant persistence. Excellent as an aperitif, it also pairs with raw seafood, shellfish and light fish preparations; it also stands up well to more structured seafood dishes such as a seafood risotto. Serve well chilled, around 8–10 °C, to appreciate its finesse and tension.
