The Chardonnay Langhe DOC by Sordo is a refined and elegant expression of one of the world's most beloved and versatile grape varieties, cultivated in the prestigious hills of Langhe in Piedmont, an area renowned for its rich winemaking tradition and exceptional terroir. This wine enchants the palate with its harmony and complexity, the result of skillful winemaking and targeted aging.

Visually, the Chardonnay Langhe DOC presents a bright straw-yellow color, hinting at the freshness and liveliness that characterize its bouquet and palate. On the nose, it offers an intricate aroma where notes of ripe fruits such as peach and melon intertwine, enriched by nuances of vanilla and butter, derived from aging in wood. These elements impart an olfactory complexity that invites thorough tasting.

On the palate, the wine stands out for its balanced structure and elegant acidity. The fruity notes blend perfectly with a touch of minerality, making each sip particularly pleasant and lingering. The creamy texture is well-supported by a freshness that entices another sip, outlining a long and satisfying finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Chardonnay Langhe DOC by Sordo pairs wonderfully with light appetizers, fish, and seafood dishes. It is also an excellent companion for risottos and delicate chicken or turkey dishes, where its organoleptic properties can brilliantly complement the natural sweetness and tenderness of the meats.

This wine is not just a table companion, but a true journey through the flavors and aromas of the Langhe, offering a complete sensory experience that reflects the excellence of Piedmontese winemaking by Sordo.

Winery history
The estate is led by the Bricolo family: parents Alberta and Roberto started the business, and it is now managed by their daughter Roberta. According to the winery, it was founded by the parents in 1975; in 2014 the current owners began the conversion to organic viticulture, which resulted in vineyard certification. Over the years the facilities have been expanded with architectural additions focused on hospitality and wine tourism.
Production philosophy
The company's philosophy centers on organic viticulture and sustainability: the organic approach is regarded as an indispensable choice to safeguard health and the land and to enhance the relationship between soil, vine and climate, with winemaking planned already in the vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the moraine hills around the village of Custoza, in the municipality of Sommacampagna, on glacially derived soils rich in pebbles and calcium carbonate, which impart minerality and salinity to the wines, typical of the Lake Garda area.
Awards and recognitions
Among the recognitions reported by the press and industry platforms are: Tre Bicchieri for the Custoza 'San Michelin'; international awards such as a Silver Medal and mentions in Decanter for the Custoza Superiore 'Summa'; and Mundus Vini medals for wines such as Ca' Nova.
