The Chianti Classico DOCG by Brancaia is born in the heart of Tuscany, precisely in the historic Chianti region, a territory famous for its wine-growing vocation and for soils rich in galestro and alberese. This wine is mainly the result of the Sangiovese grape variety, which provides structure, aromaticity, and a characteristic acidic note that enhances its elegance.

The aging takes place in French oak barrels, giving complexity and softness without ever overpowering the typical freshness of Chianti Classico. The intense ruby red color anticipates aromas of cherry, ripe plum, and light spicy nuances, with balsamic hints of undergrowth and tobacco. On the palate, it is harmonious, balanced, with good persistence and silky tannins, ideal with typical Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, roasted meats, and aged cheeses.

A refined expression of the territory that celebrates the excellence of Chianti Classico in its modern and highly personal interpretation.

Winery history
The estate began when the Widmer family purchased the Brancaia hill in the 1980s: from a first podere in Castellina/Poppi it grew into an operation with several estates and iconic wines such as Il Blu, whose square logo was created in the late 1980s. In subsequent years the winery expanded its holdings to include plots in Chianti Classico and Maremma.
