Of a bright ruby red, this Chianti DOCG from Melini shows an immediate, straightforward profile: on the nose ripe cherry, wild strawberry and light floral notes emerge, along with earthy nuances and a touch of fine spice that add complexity without exuberance. On the palate it offers a pleasing mid-palate, with a slightly bitter note reminiscent of cherry skin and a finish of sweet spices. The sip is lively, supported by a saline freshness that keeps it flowing; the body is medium, the tannins are present but well integrated, providing structure without dryness and a pleasant persistence that invites the next glass.

It is a wine of immediate drinkability but also good balance, suitable for the everyday table: it pairs naturally with tomato-based dishes, rustic soups, roasted meats and aged cheeses. Also perfect with cured-meat starters, mushroom dishes and light grilled fare; its versatility makes it easy to match year-round. Serve slightly cool, around 16–18 °C, and enjoy it both young and after a few years in bottle; ideal if you’re looking for a sincere, agile Chianti with pleasant drinkability.
