This fine rum is initially aged for ten years in the Caribbean in American oak barrels that previously contained bourbon. It is then transported to Spain where it undergoes a second aging of five years using the traditional solera system in the bodegas of Jerez, in barrels that previously housed Don Guido sherry (Pedro Ximénez). This method allows the rum to develop additional layers of aromas and flavors, conferring unparalleled richness and complexity.
On the nose, Dos Maderas Luxus offers deep notes of ripe fruit, molasses, and a hint of vanilla, enriched by a subtle touch of wood and spices. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with tones of dark chocolate, dates, raisins, and a light aftertaste of coffee and tobacco, resulting from its long maturation. Its finish is long, pleasantly sweet, and intensely aromatic.
