The Etna DOC Rosso Contrada Santo Spirito in Jeroboam format, presented in a wooden case by Palmento Costanzo, is a majestic expression of the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio vines, typical of Etna. This wine comes from the Santo Spirito district, one of the most renowned areas for viticulture on the highest active volcano in Europe, famous for its unique terroir composed of volcanic soils which give the wines an extraordinary complexity and minerality.

The selection of grapes from a specific district such as Santo Spirito allows Palmento Costanzo to enhance the unique characteristics of the microclimate and soil of that particular area of Etna. The winery, with its environmentally friendly and quality-conscious approach, follows production methods that aim to best express the potential of the terroir and native vines.

Winemaking is careful to maintain the integrity and purity of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the varietal notes and freshness, while the refinement, usually in wood of various toasting and sizes, helps to integrate the flavors and add layers of complexity to the wine, without stifling the distinctive character imparted by the terroir.

The Jeroboam format, which corresponds to four standard 750 ml bottles, not only makes this wine a center of attraction for celebrations and special occasions, but also offers advantages in terms of evolution and maturation of the wine itself. The presentation in a wooden case further underlines the exclusivity and care dedicated to this wine, making it an ideal gift for collectors and enthusiasts.

At sight, the wine has an intense ruby red color, typical of Etna reds. On the nose, it releases a rich bouquet of aromas, with notes of ripe red fruits, floral accents, aromatic herbs, spices and a marked mineral vein that reflects its volcanic origin. These elements blend harmoniously, offering an olfactory complexity that invites tasting.

In the mouth, Contrada Santo Spirito demonstrates an elegant structure, with fine and well-integrated tannins, and an acidity that gives freshness and length. The flavors are consistent with the olfactory bouquet, exhibiting a beautiful concentration of fruit and a persistent, distinctly mineral and spicy finish.

This Etna DOC Rosso Contrada Santo Spirito in Jeroboam format by Palmento Costanzo represents not only the pinnacle of Etna wine production, but also an extraordinary example of how the grape variety and terroir can interact to create wines of rare beauty and complexity.
