The Franciacorta Satén DOCG Millesimato by Santus represents the authentic elegance of the renowned Franciacorta area, located in Lombardy. This sparkling wine, made from a selection of Chardonnay grapes, stands out for its softness and creaminess, typical of the traditional method with very gentle pressing and a secondary fermentation in the bottle lasting at least 30 months.

The Satén presents a fine and persistent perlage, while the color shows a delicate straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, notes of fresh fruit such as apple and citrus emerge, enriched by hints of yeast and bread crust that tell of the long aging on the lees.

On the palate, the velvety bubbles wrap with balance and structure, offering pleasantness and an elegant freshness in the finish. Perfect to accompany delicate appetizers, raw fish, or white meat dishes, this Jeroboam is ideal for important convivial moments, kept in its refined wooden case.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
