Advice to enjoy this wine at its best.

Let’s talk about Galantas Valle del Maipo - Biologico e Sostenibile - Haras de Pirque

More questions

Elegant and measured, this wine from Haras de Pirque comes from the Valle del Maipo. Produced with organic practices and a sustainability focus, it offers a balance of freshness and body without excess. In the glass it shows moderate ruby reflections; on the nose it suggests ripe red fruit, delicate spice notes and a hint of herbaceousness reminiscent of hillside sites. The aromatic profile stays clear but not intrusive, inviting slow, deliberate tasting.

On the palate it confirms a saline, harmonious texture, with present but well-integrated tannins and acidity that supports the drinking. The structure makes it suitable for medium-complexity dishes: roasted meats, mushroom-based preparations or semi-aged cheeses, taking care not to overwhelm the wine. Serve slightly cool for a red (around 16–18 °C) and consume within a few years to best enjoy its youthful expressiveness. Store in a cool, dark place.

  • Shop/cellar with a horseshoe-shaped structure that recalls the estate's equestrian origin.
  • Strong commitment to sustainability and declared organic viticultural practices.
  • Vineyards in the Andean sector of the Maipo Valley, featuring notable wines such as Albis, Pitío, Galantas, Ecràl and Hussonet.
  • Some activities are managed by Antinori Chile SpA
The story
The estate originated on a large property with roots in purebred horse breeding; the name pays homage to a haras founded in 1892. Over the years the property was developed for viticulture and, from the 2000s, the Antinori family progressively became involved in the project, eventually leading operations through Antinori Chile SpA. The first wine linked to the Antinori family's involvement is Albis, and subsequently the winery consolidated a production based on high-performing parcels in the Andean Maipo area.
Production philosophy
Focus on terroir-driven quality and sustainability: the winery emphasizes the expression of the Maipo Andes Valley terroir, practices organic viticulture in its designated vineyards, and uses winemaking processes designed to minimize environmental impact.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Pirque, in the eastern part of the Maipo Valley, at the foothills of the Andes, about 30 km south of Santiago. Some wines use grapes sourced from other selected areas, such as the Leyda Valley, for specific white wine expressions.
