A characterful Barolo, it clearly expresses the elegance of Nebbiolo: deep but never overbearing, it shows a balance between freshness and tannic structure. On first impression ripe red fruit, rose petals and light earthy notes emerge that together paint a refined picture; the palate is lively, supported by well-defined tannins and a subtle salinity that leads to a pleasing persistence. The structure is there, but it is driven by a dynamism that invites another glass without weighing you down.

The magnum format adds practical and sensory value: the larger bottle size and slower evolution favor a more complete harmony and more consistent aging, ideal both for cellaring and for important dinners. A light decanting and service around 16-18 °C are advisable; it pairs successfully with braises, roasted red meats, mushroom-based dishes and aged cheeses, where its structure and persistence find their natural completion.

Region: Piemonte
Country: Italia
Founded: 1830
Grapes: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Pelaverga (Pelaverga piccolo), Favorita
Historic Verduno winery operating since 1830. Estate-owned vineyards spread across the crus of Verduno and Monforte. Vinifies exclusively estate-grown grapes, with a strong focus on indigenous grape varieties. The range includes several Barolo, Verduno Pelaverga "Speziale", Barbera d'Alba and Dolcetto d'Alba. Family-run operation with a long local tradition.
Winery history
Family-run for generations, the winery has been in Verduno since the early 19th century. The main building is an 18th-century house adjacent to the historic centre; the family has continued winemaking, maintaining a family-sized operation and management, and preserving the local tradition of producing and bottling wines of the Langhe.
Production philosophy
The winery prioritizes its connection to the territory: it focuses primarily on native grape varieties, produces wine exclusively from estate-grown grapes, and maintains an approach that combines respect for traditional practices, artisanal care, and attention to oenological and agronomic innovations.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the crus of Verduno and Monforte d'Alba. The area's microclimate and the calcareous soils of the Langhe hills shape the character and elegance of the wines, particularly the Nebbiolo/Barolo of Verduno.
Awards and recognitions
Several of the winery's wines have received awards.
