The Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc by Delas Frères is a white wine of exceptional quality that reflects the quintessence of the quality and elegance of the great white wines of the Rhône Valley. Produced by one of the most respected wineries in the region, Delas Frères, this Hermitage is the result of a careful blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, vines that find their terroir of choice in the Hermitage denomination, capable of enhancing their aromatic expressiveness and complexity.

The Domaine des Tourettes stands out for its privileged location, with vineyards located on the steep slopes that characterize the Hermitage appellation. These soils, rich in granite and minerals, give the wine a unique minerality and concentration, while the optimal exposure guarantees perfect ripening of the grapes.

Wine Profile: At sight, Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc presents an intense golden yellow color, which heralds the richness and density of the wine. On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex bouquet of aromas, where notes of ripe white pulp fruit stand out, such as peach and apricot, enriched by nuances of honey, white flowers, sweet spices and an elegant background of minerality and toasted wood, the result of refinement in barrique.

In the mouth, the olfactory promise materializes in a tasting experience of great intensity and depth. The structure is rich and enveloping, with a perfect balance between fruity richness, vibrant acidity and an aromatic complexity that evolves towards a long and persistent finish, characterized by a delicious minerality and touches of vanilla and spices.

Gastronomic Pairings: L'Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc is a wine with extraordinary gastronomic versatility, capable of accompanying rich and structured dishes. It is ideal with fatty fish dishes, such as salmon or tuna, shellfish dishes in creamy sauces, roast poultry and soft cheeses. Its complexity also makes it perfect as a meditation wine.

This Hermitage Blanc from Delas Frères, with its richness, elegance and length, represents a magnificent example of the potential of white wines from the Rhône Valley, offering wine lovers a tasting experience that combines aromatic intensity, complexity and pure pleasure.

Delas Frères – Winery in Vallée du Rhône (Rodano settentrionale)

Discover the story and wines of Delas Frères.

A Northern Rhône maison that combines wines from its estate vineyards with wines sourced from partner growers; known for its Syrah-based cuvées and its parcel-based approach to the appellations of the Upper Rhône.
Region: Vallée du Rhône (Rodano settentrionale)
Country: Francia
Founded: 1835
Grapes: Syrah, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Merlot
Estate-owned vineyards concentrated in the Upper Rhône. Parcel-based approach with single-vineyard labels such as Les Bessards, Le Clos and Clos Boucher. Specializing in Syrah for Northern Rhône reds; Viognier for Condrieu; and white blends based on Marsanne and Roussanne. Historic house with roots dating back to 1835 and a quality revival beginning in the 1990s. Winemaking and aging aimed at preserving terroir expression.
Winery history
Founded as a trading business in the 19th century, the house has documented roots dating back to 1835. Throughout the 20th century the family expanded the business and the company adopted the name Delas Frères. More recently it was acquired by the Rouzaud group and underwent a revitalization: in the 1990s technical and agronomic investments were strengthened, the estate progressively expanded its vineyard holdings and, after renovation work and new acquisitions, opened modern winemaking facilities in Tain-l’Hermitage between 2015 and 2019.
Production philosophy
Enhancing the territory and individual parcels, putting people and vineyard management at the center of the work. The estate adopts an "own sourcing" approach and favors winemaking practices that respect the expression of the terroir: parcel-by-parcel vinification, predominant use of destemmed grapes, cold macerations, extended lees contact, and reduced interventions such as fining or filtration on the top cuvées.
Terroir and vineyards
Operates mainly in the Northern Rhône with its own vineyards and single‑parcel wines. The maison also works with parcels and partners to produce typical AOCs such as Condrieu, Côte‑Rôtie and Cornas, and offers Southern Rhône wines through purchases/contracts.
Awards and recognitions
Individual high-end cuvées have received high scores and accolades from critics and specialist publications; the most prestigious bottlings are frequently rated highly in tasting notes.
