Impostino Montecucco Rosso Riserva DOC from Tenuta L'Impostino offers an organoleptic profile of notable coherence and restraint. In color it shows an intense ruby hue; on the nose it opens to suggestions of ripe red fruit, hints of sweet spice and touches of undergrowth that add complexity without overpowering. On the palate it is full and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a sapid progression that supports the sip, delivering clean sensations and good persistence. The approach is restrained, away from excess, aimed at balance and expressive character rather than immediate flamboyance.

It naturally pairs with traditional dishes and preparations based on red meats, roasts and aged cheeses; it is also suited to more structured courses that require a present wine. I recommend serving it slightly cool to highlight freshness and structure. For storage, a stable, light-protected environment will preserve its qualities; if desired, it can be kept in the cellar for further evolution, assessing its organoleptic profile from time to time.
