La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 1990 di Tenute del Cabreo, offered by Folonari and presented in a wooden case, is a mature white wine that reflects the character of the vintage. On the nose it shows a developed profile with hints of ripe fruit, notes of dried fruit and subtle mineral nuances; on the palate it is full-bodied, with acidity still present and a barely perceptible tannic texture, as can occur in some aged whites. The balance between flavor and structure calls for careful tasting and checking the bottle condition before opening.

Serve at a cool but not cold temperature (around 10–12 °C); controlled aeration may help soften any closure-related tightness. Matches dishes of fish in sauce, flavorful white meats and moderately aged cheeses. The wooden case aids storage and presentation; for collector purchases or consumption, check label and cork condition. No technical or historical information beyond what is stated in the designation has been provided.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
