Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild, the second wine from the prestigious Château Mouton Rothschild estate in Pauillac, elegantly embodies the spirit and character of its illustrious predecessor. First created in the early 1990s, this wine has quickly become an emblem of the quality and innovation that characterizes the Rothschild house, offering a refined and accessible tasting experience.

Produced primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with the addition of Merlot and a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, Le Petit Mouton reflects the exceptional terroir of Pauillac. The wine benefits from the same careful viticultural and oenological practices as the first wine, including manual harvesting and rigorous selection of grapes, ensuring a high-quality product that expresses the typicality and complexity of the region.

At sight, Le Petit Mouton presents itself with an intense ruby red color, promising depth and intensity. The olfactory bouquet is rich and inviting, with dominant notes of ripe red fruits, such as cassis and cherries, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and a delicate touch of vanilla, testifying to the elegant passage in oak barriques.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a robust but harmonious structure, with silky tannins that blend perfectly with the lively acidity, creating an impeccable balance. The flavor palette follows the olfactory promises, with an explosion of ripe fruit and a complex evolution that leads to a long and persistent finish, where accents of moist earth and tobacco emerge, adding further layers of complexity.

Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild is a wine that, although it can be appreciated in its youth for the freshness and accessibility of its flavours, has considerable aging potential. Over the years, it evolves beautifully, developing even greater richness and complexity.

Ideal as an accompaniment to red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, this wine is also perfect for special occasions, where its elegance and complexity can be fully appreciated. Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild offers a unique experience, testifying to Château Mouton Rothschild's commitment to creating wines of exceptional quality.
