Cardoviola is a red wine from the Marche region produced by the Il Conventino di Monteciccardo company. The 50% Lacrima and 50% Aleatico grapes are harvested manually and the grapes are placed in small crates; the vinification takes place in French oak barrels and maturation in steel for 10 months. The wine ages for a further 6 months in the bottle before being put on the market.
It shows a brilliant ruby red color with violet reflections in the glass. Upon opening, it releases an intense floral bouquet of jasmine and pink roses, mitigated by fruity nuances of raspberries, red currants and crunchy cherries. The sip is sapid and fresh, with a delicate tannic texture and a slightly floral finish.
A perfect wine to serve in combination with red meat or medium-flavored dishes, its special fresh note also makes it excellent as an accompaniment with appetizers and bruschetta.
