The Marsannay "Les Finottes" from Domaine Bart is a refined example of red wine from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, France. This wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, meticulously selected from old vines that grow in a clay-limestone soil, ideal for this variety.

The vinification of Marsannay "Les Finottes" follows traditional methods, including open vat fermentation and subsequent aging in French oak barrels, which adds layers of complexity to the wine’s bouquet. The result is an impeccable balance between the freshness of the fruit and the tannic structure, enriched by an elegant background of spicy and woody notes.

Visually, the wine presents a vibrant ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of cherry, raspberry, and a slight earthy vein, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and cloves. On tasting, the Marsannay "Les Finottes" reveals a silky texture and medium body, with a pleasant balance of acidity and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with echoes of red fruit and mineral touches.

This wine is particularly suitable for pairing with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses. It represents an excellent choice for connoisseurs eager to explore the typicity and elegance of Burgundy Pinot Noir. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C to enhance all its nuances.

Winery history
The domaine has been managed by several generations of the Bart family. The estate expanded in the 1980s thanks to an inheritance resulting from the division of the former Domaine Clair-Daü; Martin and Odile Bart have led the estate since the 1980s, and Pierre Bart represents the youngest generation involved in winemaking. Over time the holdings have grown to include numerous parcels in Marsannay and some vineyards in neighboring appellations and Grand Cru sites.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir: manual work in the vineyard, limited intervention in the cellar and sustainable/integrated cultivation practices are frequently mentioned in estate descriptions. The approach prioritises varietal purity and the representation of the individual lieux-dits of Marsannay.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the vineyard holdings consist mainly of parcels in Marsannay, along with plots in Fixin and Santenay and small holdings in the Grand Crus Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze. Among the lieux-dits mentioned in the sources are Les Finottes, Les Ouzeloy, Les Longeroies, Les Champs Salomon, Les Clos du Roy, Es Chezots and Les Favières.
