The Méditerranée Rosé Cadet de la Begude, produced by the acclaimed Domaine de la Begude, is an extraordinary expression of rosé wines originating from the picturesque region of Provence. This wine distinguishes itself with its pale pink, almost crystalline color, which hints at a fresh and delicate olfactory experience. On the nose, the bouquet invites you to discover notes of small red fruits, rose petals, and a subtle hint of Mediterranean aromatic herbs.

On the palate, the Cadet de la Begude reveals a balanced and harmonious structure. Its freshness is supported by good acidity that contributes to an admirable taste persistence. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, and a light hint of citrus blend to create a pleasantly complex and inviting taste.

This wine is ideal as an aperitif or to accompany light dishes like summer salads, seafood, or lightly spiced Asian cuisine. The Méditerranée Rosé Cadet de la Begude is an exemplar that celebrates the typicity and elegance of Provençal rosés, making it a must-have for lovers of these wines.

Region: Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (Bandol)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette, Grenache noir, Rolle, Ugni blanc
Main production under AOP Bandol. Approximately a 50-hectare vineyard within a larger estate. Predominance of Mourvèdre in the blend. Official transition to biodynamic practices under the Demeter label. Management focused on minimal cellar interventions and tailored winemaking.
Winery history
An estate with historical roots in the region, Domaine de La Bégude was managed by the Tari family until 2022; in September 2022 the property was acquired by the Roulleau family. The Domaine's official dossier also describes earlier phases of restructuring and a long agricultural tradition linked to viticulture and olive growing in the Bandol / Sainte-Baume area.
Production philosophy
Agricultural approach focused on minimal interference: agronomic practices that respect biodiversity, hand harvesting, parcel-by-parcel selection and minimal-intervention winemaking. The Domaine has obtained organic certifications and has begun conversion to biodynamics/Demeter certification to best express the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bandol appellation in southern France, the estate farms terraced parcels and benefits from pronounced diurnal temperature variations and Mediterranean winds. The vineyard sits within a large protected landscape near the Sainte-Baume massif and Natura 2000 areas.
