The Merlot Alto Adige DOC from Cantina Bozen is a red wine that retains balance and a clean aromatic profile. Clear in appearance, it shows a ruby colour that shifts toward riper tones as the glass opens. On the nose there are hints of red fruit, subtle spice and a light herbaceous note, while maintaining a pleasant finesse. The structure is moderate, with soft tannins and an acidity that supports the sip without being intrusive, resulting in an overall harmonious and easy-drinking profile.

It pairs well with dishes from the regional tradition and preparations of white or red meat, as well as medium-aged cheeses. It is suitable for everyday consumption and informal occasions when a ready-to-drink but characterful wine is sought. To appreciate its profile, it is recommended to serve it slightly chilled and to avoid excessive heat; a brief decanting can help to open the aromas.
