Montelobos Ensamble Joven Puebla is a mezcal with an immediate, well-defined character: on the nose a gentle smokiness mingles with notes of green agave, aromatic herbs and citrus zest. The overall impression is lively and clean, with a faint mineral element that balances the vegetal side; the blend of different agaves brings a complexity of nuances without weighing it down, while the typical freshness of the joven keeps the profile slim and inviting.

On the palate it shows roundness and controlled warmth: the smoke remains present but rests on a soft texture, with herbaceous echoes and a savory, slightly bitter finish. The persistence is pleasant and leaves a veil of ash that invites the next sip; the depth and cleanliness of the sip make it suitable both for drinking neat and for mixing, especially in cocktails that require a smoky character. It pairs well with savory or smoked dishes, dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
