Mezcal Negro Sahuayo presents itself as a spirit with a distinct character, offering an olfactory profile that combines smoky notes with herbal and earthy hints. The color is amber with warm highlights and the olfactory impression has good intensity: on the nose there are subtle smoke, peels of ripe citrus and a touch of wet stone, suggesting complexity without weighing it down. The structure is clear, the aroma remains steady and defined even after a few moments in the glass.

On the palate it is dry and savory, balancing the smoky component with softer returns of fruit flesh and delicate spices; the finish is persistent but measured, with aftertastes that recall the initial character. It is suited to be sipped neat, slightly chilled, to appreciate its olfactory and gustatory details; it can accompany dishes featuring grilled ingredients or hard cheeses, or serve as a base for cocktails that call for a balanced smoky profile.
