Monte Aribaldo Dolcetto d'Alba DOC by Marchesi di Gresy is a vivid and authentic expression of the Dolcetto grape, one of the symbols of Piedmontese viticulture, in particular of the Alba area. The Marchesi di Gresy winery, known for its excellence and its dedication to quality, has been able to interpret Dolcetto in a key that enhances both the typicality of the vine and the peculiarities of the terroir of which it is an expression.

Monte Aribaldo takes its name from the hill on which the vineyards destined for the production of this wine are located, an area which, thanks to its exposure and its unique microclimate, allows the production of Dolcetto grapes of particular aromatic intensity and complexity. Marchesi di Gresy's philosophy is based on the harmony between innovation and respect for traditions, an approach that is also reflected in the vinification of Dolcetto, aimed at preserving the freshness and fruitfulness of the vine.

Visually, Monte Aribaldo Dolcetto d'Alba has a brilliant ruby red color, with purple hues that testify to its youth. On the nose, the wine offers a rich and inviting aromatic range, characterized by notes of fresh red fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, enriched by floral accents and a light spiciness, which give the wine depth and complexity.

In the mouth, Monte Aribaldo demonstrates a perfect balance between acidity and softness, with fine and well-integrated tannins that support a harmonious and enveloping structure. Drinkability is one of the distinctive characteristics of this wine, which, while maintaining a certain structure, proves to be incredibly pleasant and accessible, with a fresh and fruity finish.

This Dolcetto d'Alba is ideal in combination with a wide range of dishes, from traditional Piedmontese cuisine, such as tajarin al ragù or agnolotti del plin, to grilled red meats and medium-aged cheeses. Its versatility also makes it perfect as an aperitif wine, capable of stimulating the appetite and pleasantly accompanying the start of a meal.

In conclusion, the Monte Aribaldo Dolcetto d'Alba DOC by Marchesi di Gresy is a testimony to the winery's ability to produce wines that are a faithful expression of the territory and the grape variety, offering wine lovers an authentic and highly satisfying tasting experience .

Winery history
The estate of Tenute Cisa Asinari has been linked to the di Grésy family since the 18th century; the family has owned the Martinenga cru since 1797. Winemaking under the Grésy label in its modern form was begun by Alberto di Grésy around 1973, when the family decided to produce wine exclusively from their own grapes and to promote wines that expressed the identity of the vineyards.
Production philosophy
The estate places great emphasis on vineyard care and on respecting the grape varieties and tradition: winemaking aims to enhance the terroir’s expression without altering it, producing elegant, balanced wines that reflect the character of each vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
The estates are located across the Langhe and Monferrato and include Martinenga, Monte Aribaldo, La Serra and Monte Colombo. Martinenga is regarded as one of the area’s finest geographical indications, and the grapes from all the estates are generally vinified at the Martinenga winery.
