Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOCG JEROBOAM 3L - Riserva Savini - Wooden Case
VAT incl.
The grape harvest takes place from the middle of October. After careful selection during the harvest, it follows delicate pressing, followed by maceration with the skins for 25 days during which several pumpovers are performed. Aging takes place in 500-liter French oak tonneau for a period of 18 months; subsequently the wine is decanted and bottled, to finish with a refinement in the bottle of at least 6 months.
The DOCG is one of the excellences of the Abruzzo region; proposed in the Riserva type, thanks to the targeted aging in wood, even more complexity is given to this fine selection of the region which results in a wine of great structure and complexity.
A wine that stands out in the glass for its intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose is intoxicated and conquered by the fruity aromas of red fruits among which cherries and black cherries stand out, the sweet hints of withered flowers, which intersect with light notes of spices and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is majestic, tannic and with a marked sapidity by aromas of licorice and morello cherry.
An elegant red that when tasted presents an integrated acidity in a persistent body, with the presence of soft tannins. A drink with a persuasive and savory finish, characterized by a fruity return of black cherry and spices. At the table it goes perfectly with platters of medium-aged cheeses, first courses with meat sauces, grilled, roasted and boiled meats.
The "Jeroboam" size is ideal for attending special occasions, and the wooden case that contains it makes it an excellent and original gift idea.
