The palate confirms the aromatic richness, marked by soft tannins and a balanced structure, leaving room for a persistent and vibrant finish.

A Grand Cru located in Morey‑Saint‑Denis, regarded as one of the finest crus of the Côte de Nuits. The total area of the Clos is approximately 8.84 hectares, most of which is owned by Domaine des Lambrays. Main grape variety: Pinot Noir; AOC regulations permit small percentages of accessory white grapes, but they are virtually never used. Cellar practices focused on selection and wood aging; part of the barrels renewed every year. Estate acquired by the LVMH Group in 2014.
Winery history
Clos des Lambrays has historically been a "clos" in the Côte de Nuits; documents mention a parcel by this name as early as the 14th century. Originally regarded as of lower status, the site was granted Grand Cru status in 1981. Over the course of the 20th century the estate was progressively reunified and, after restoration and enhancement work led by the estate team, it became renowned. Since 2014 the property has been owned by LVMH, which has maintained production according to the estate's traditions.
Production philosophy
Production focused on quality and rigorous grape selection: hand-harvesting and sorting, carefully managed winemaking to preserve the freshness of the fruit, and aging in oak barrels. The Domaine favors low yields and winemaking that highlights the finesse of the Pinot Noir typical of the cru.
Terroir and vineyards
The Clos is located in Morey‑Saint‑Denis, in the Côte de Nuits; the soil varies along the slope: the upper section is more marly, while the lower part features a mix of clay and limestone. It borders other Grand Cru vineyards in the area and occupies a gentle east/southeast‑facing slope.
