The Nebbiolo Rosso Colline Novaresi DOC 2019 from Torraccia, bottled in Magnum format, represents an enological excellence from the lesser-known but charming Piedmont region. Originating from the Novara hills area, this wine best expresses the Nebbiolo grape, which finds an ideal territory here to develop an elegant and complex character.

Torraccia’s Nebbiolo is carefully aged, highlighting aromas of small red fruits, dog rose, and subtle spicy hints intertwined with balsamic and earthy notes. On the palate, it is enveloping and harmonious, with well-present but silky tannins, offering a pleasant persistence.

Thanks to its balanced structure and refined aromatic and taste profile, this red pairs wonderfully with typical Piedmont dishes such as braised meats and roasts, as well as aged cheeses, for an authentic and characterful tasting experience.

Winery history
The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
Production philosophy
Showcasing the territory through careful, low-impact viticulture, prioritizing native grape varieties and practices that bring out the character of the soil and climate. The approach combines respect for local tradition with modern winemaking techniques to produce wines with long aging potential.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in Colline Novaresi and the Gattinara area, at the foot of Monte Rosa: morainic-alluvial soils, porphyry and glacial sands with marked temperature variations that contribute to the freshness and longevity of the wines.
