This Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme DOCG in Magnum format from Torraccia shows an elegant, measured profile. In color it displays a ruby red with slight garnet reflections; on the nose it opens to notes of ripe red fruit, faded rose, subtle earthy hints and a gentle spice. The overall expression is restrained, with aromas that evolve smoothly, leaving room for underbrush nuances and a discreet mineral thread. The aromatic texture suggests balance and good depth, presented without force.

On the palate it is sapid, with present but well-integrated tannins, supported by a lively acidity that gives freshness to the sip. The finish is harmonious, clean and invites a slow pairing with medium-structured dishes: red meats that are not too fatty, roasts, aged cheeses and mushroom-based preparations. Serve at moderate temperature in large glasses; the Magnum format promotes slow bottle evolution and conviviality at the table. It may benefit from a short period of aeration before pouring.

Winery history
The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
Production philosophy
Showcasing the territory through careful, low-impact viticulture, prioritizing native grape varieties and practices that bring out the character of the soil and climate. The approach combines respect for local tradition with modern winemaking techniques to produce wines with long aging potential.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in Colline Novaresi and the Gattinara area, at the foot of Monte Rosa: morainic-alluvial soils, porphyry and glacial sands with marked temperature variations that contribute to the freshness and longevity of the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Among the recognitions: mentions in Gambero Rosso and Eco-Friendly awards from Touring Club Italiano.
