The Nizza DOCG of Oddero is a superb expression of the Barbera grape, grown in the Piedmont hills of the Nizza Monferrato area, an area particularly suited to the production of high quality Barbera. This wine represents the dedication of the Oddero winery to the valorization of the native Piedmontese vines and to the area of Nice, which earned the DOCG denomination precisely to underline the uniqueness and excellence of the Barbera produced here.

The Oddero winery, with a history that has its roots in centuries of winemaking tradition, is committed to maintaining a deep connection with the land, working the vineyards with sustainable practices that respect the environment. Nizza DOCG is the result of a careful selection of the best Barbera grapes, hand-picked and vinified with the aim of enhancing their aromatic richness and structure.

Visually, the Nizza DOCG of Oddero has an intense and deep ruby red color, with violet reflections that highlight its youth and vitality. On the nose, the wine reveals a complex and inviting bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and a light touch of vanilla, the result of aging in wood which adds complexity without overpowering the expression of the vine.

In the mouth, Nizza DOCG reveals extraordinary intensity and depth, with soft and well-integrated tannins that support its structure. The typical acidity of Barbera is balanced and lively, giving freshness and drinkability to the sip. The flavors of ripe fruit blend with spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of harmony and elegance.

Ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as grilled red meats, game-based dishes, mature cheeses and recipes from Piedmontese cuisine, Oddero's Nizza DOCG is also a wine that lends itself magnificently to meditative tasting, capable of evolving and reveal new facets as time passes.

In conclusion, the Nizza DOCG of Oddero is an authentic and refined expression of the Barbera vine, which enhances the richness and complexity that this vine can achieve in the Nizza Monferrato area, testifying to the ability of the Oddero winery in producing wines that they are a tribute to the tradition and quality of the Piedmontese territory.
