The Pinot Nero DOC Friuli Grave by Tenuta Fernanda Cappello is born in a unique territory, characterized by alluvial soils and an ideal microclimate for the expression of this noble grape variety. The careful and respectful vinification enhances the delicacy and finesse typical of Pinot Nero, best expressing its aromatic potential.

In appearance, it shows a bright ruby red color, while on the nose it opens with elegant scents of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, enriched with light spicy and floral notes. On the palate, it offers a balanced structure, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness that accompanies a enveloping persistence.

Perfect to pair with white meats, mushroom-based dishes, or aged cheeses, this Pinot Nero represents a refined example of the winemaking art of Friuli, capable of combining tradition and modernity with elegant harmony.

Family-run operation with innovation projects and recent technological investments. Featured in Italy's leading wine guides and participating in trade fairs such as Vinitaly.
Winery history
The estate grew out of the Cappello family's long entrepreneurial experience: acquisitions and plantings begun in the mid-20th century transformed the gravelly soils of Sequals into a large, family-run wine estate. Over time management passed to subsequent generations, with expansions of the winery, new product lines and technological investments that have culminated in increased production in recent years.
Production philosophy
A strong focus on quality from vineyard to cellar: selecting the best-suited sites, attentive vineyard management, tailored vinification and investments in technology to enhance the character of the grape varieties and the terroir, while maintaining operational efficiency and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards lie in the Magredi, at the foot of the Friulian hills near Sequals, on gravelly alluvial and calcareous-dolomitic soils. The microclimate is influenced by the Alpine breeze from Val Tramontina, which promotes healthy grapes and a mineral character in the wines. The area falls within the DOC Friuli Grave zone.
