Maison Anselmet's Pinot Noir Tradition DOC is a sublime interpretation of one of the most elegant and multifaceted grape varieties in the world, masterfully adapted to the unique terroir of the Aosta Valley. Maison Anselmet, known for its dedication to quality and exploration of the potential of grape varieties in an Alpine context, presents this Pinot Noir as a pure and refined expression of the grape variety, reflecting the particular synergy between traditional viticultural practices and the Aosta Valley microclimate.

Wine Profile: Maison Anselmet's Pinot Noir Tradition stands out for its delicate and bright ruby red color. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and seductive aromatic palette, with notes of fresh red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, enriched by nuances of violet, light spices and a light touch of undergrowth, which add depth and complexity to the bouquet.

In the mouth, the wine reveals the typical elegance of Pinot Noir, with soft and velvety tannins that integrate harmoniously into a medium-light body. The lively acidity gives freshness and leads to a long and pleasantly fruity finish, with an aftertaste that delicately recalls the earth and subtle spices, testimony to its refinement and its Alpine origin.

Gastronomic Pairings: Maison Anselmet's Pinot Noir Tradition DOC is incredibly versatile at the table, capable of accompanying a wide range of dishes. It excels with white meats, mushroom dishes, lake fish and soft cheeses. Its structure and aromatic profile also make it particularly suitable for delicately spiced ethnic cuisine dishes, where its freshness can balance the richness of the flavours.

This Pinot Noir is an example of how Maison Anselmet has managed to interpret one of the most capricious and beloved vines in the world, adapting it to the Aosta Valley to produce a wine of great charm and drinkability. It represents a meeting between the typical finesse of Pinot Noir and the singularity of the Aosta Valley terroir, offering a tasting experience that invites you to discover and celebrate the wine-growing diversity of the region.

Distribution through national operators; international recognition.
Winery history
Documented evidence of the Anselmet family's presence in the vineyards dates back to the 16th century; the shift toward organized winemaking took place in the late 1970s with Renato Anselmet, from whom the modern estate took shape and developed over subsequent generations.
Production philosophy
The estate favors high-altitude, mountain viticulture, with hand-tended vineyards, minimal agronomic interventions and the selection of grape varieties based on the pedoclimatic characteristics of each individual plot. In the cellar it seeks to express the terroir through targeted maturation techniques and differentiated productions, including limited editions.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are concentrated in the so-called Central Valley of the Aosta Valley, on morainic soils exposed on the left-hand side of the Dora Baltea, with parcels ranging from approximately 550 to over 900 metres above sea level and across an area stretching from Avise to Chambave. Viticulture is often terraced and requires intensive manual labour.
Awards and recognitions
The winery has received national and international recognition over the years; among the awards listed online are mentions and medals in competitions such as the Decanter World Wine Awards.
