The Pommard Premier Cru 2019 - Les Rugiens by Bouchard Père & Fils is a precious interpretation of Pinot Noir from one of the most renowned parcels of Pommard. This wine, cultivated on iron-rich soils which give it a particular intensity, reveals on the nose a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and a slight touch of vanilla, derived from aging in French oak barrels.

On the palate, the 2019 Les Rugiens stands out for its robust yet elegant structure, with finely crafted tannins that harmoniously intertwine with a persistent freshness. The notes of cherry, strawberry, and a hint of black pepper meld on a backdrop of subtle earthy minerality that reflects the authentic expression of its terroir.

This wine is an excellent example of balance and refinement, showcasing the full potential of the Les Rugiens cru. Excellent to enjoy now, but promising to evolve beautifully over the coming decades. Ideally served at 16-18°C, it pairs wonderfully with red meats, mushroom-based dishes, or aged cheeses. A masterpiece that elevates any wine collection.
