Patrice Moreux's Pouilly-Fumé is an excellent example of this renowned appellation from the Loire Valley, known for its sophisticated white wines. This wine is exclusively made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, carefully selected from the best vineyards in the area.

Visually, Patrice Moreux's Pouilly-Fumé presents a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections that hint at its freshness. On the nose, the bouquet is intensely aromatic, with lively citrus notes, especially grapefruit and lime, alongside nuances of freshly cut grass and a distinct hint of minerality, typical of the Pouilly terroir's effect on this varietal.

On the palate, the wine is vibrant and fresh. The attack is sharp, with beautiful acidity that brings balance and supports the flavors of white-fleshed fruit, such as green apple and pear, along with a subtle mineral streak that extends into a long and persistent finish.

This Pouilly-Fumé stands out for its structure and elegance, making it an ideal pairing for fish dishes, seafood, fresh goat cheese, or as a refined aperitif. Its complexity and delightful freshness also make it an excellent candidate for aging a few years in the cellar.

The care in winemaking and attention to detail by Patrice Moreux are clearly reflected in this wine, which is able to fully express the distinctive character of its terroir. A true gem for lovers of high-quality French white wines.

Pouilly‑Fumé produced entirely from Sauvignon Blanc. Present in Sancerre with approximately 6 hectares in Crézancy and Chavignol. Château des Vingtinières estate: a single-block vineyard in the heart of the Côtes de Provence. Low-intervention practices, spontaneous fermentations and controlled winemaking to preserve the terroir. Technical data sheets published with details on the blends: e.g. Rosé Côtes de Provence and Blanc Côtes de Provence.
Winery history
Family-run for generations, the estate is rooted in Pouilly-sur-Loire; Patrice Moreux took over management of the family estate in the late 1970s and in 1996 expanded the business by acquiring the Domaine/Château des Vingtinières in Provence. Today the estate combines vineyards in the Loire with its single vineyard in Côtes de Provence.
Production philosophy
Minimal-intervention practices in the vineyard and cellar: practices that respect the soil, selective harvesting, often spontaneous fermentations, and controlled winemaking to enhance the character of the terroir. The official website also mentions the use of the lunar cycle as a guide in winemaking practices.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery manages vineyards around Les Loges in the Loire Valley; about 6 hectares are planted in Sancerre. In Provence the estate has a single vineyard block on the Permian plateau of the Vallée des Maures. The soils range from caillottes and silex to clay‑limestone soils in the Loire, and red, sandy and rocky soils in Provence.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions in guides and competitions: ratings from Gilbert & Gaillard and Wine Spectator for vintages of Pouilly‑Fumé; a mention in the Guide Hachette; a bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge.
